Is Biden The Next FDR? Let’s All Hope Not

President Biden’s new $1.8 trillion plan to “expand the safety net” is just more Keynesian spending, on steroids. Along with the $2.3 trillion infrastructure boondoggle, it brings to $6 trillion the amount that will be spent this year. But anyone who thinks that swollen federal spending and much bigger government will help the economy return to “normal” after the virus is delusional.

Not surprisingly, the media are doing strenuous PR work on Biden’s behalf. In particular, a spate of recent articles liken Biden to the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. A recent New York Times piece carried the headline “How FDR’s Heir Is Changing The Country,” matched in sycophancy only by CNN’s opinion piece “The three striking similarities between FDR and Biden.”

Overseas media caught the FDR bug as well, with the British Guardian asking: “Biden’s FDR moment? President in New Deal-like push that could cement his legacy.”

This, after an earlier attempt to make Biden the second coming of LBJ and the Great Society fell flat. No one but fat-cat D.C. politicos think back fondly on LBJ’s tenure, which was marred by riots, the Vietnam War, and massive expansions in spending and regulation.

Just as with LBJ, likening Biden to FDR does him no favors. Roosevelt is remembered through a sepia-tinted haze of memory as a great president, largely because of his unquestioned leadership during World War II.

FDR was considered great (by libs) because he created the welfare state and exhibited far more gov. control over business than previous presidents.
What we have here is  failure to communicate. More gov. doesn't mean better gov.
How is it possible to relate to people who sincerely believe that the more control the gov. has over average citizens, the better for the country?
Basically, Dems are people who plead with the fed. gov. to put more chains around their arms and legs.
A happy slave mentality.

Biden and FDR comparison.

FDR was crippled by polio.   His mind was not affected.
Biden is crippled by senility.  There's nothing wrong with his legs.

FDR was a communist.
Biden's handlers are Marxists.

FDR made the Great Depression last for a decade.
Biden wants to make the Fake Pandemic last forever.

FDR wanted to pack the Supreme Court.
Biden's handlers want to pack the Supreme Court.

FDR was considered a fool by world leaders and to some extent led around by the nose.  They respected America's strength.
Biden IS a fool and world leaders have nothing but contempt for him, and they've weakened America.

FDR won an unprecedented four presidential elections.
Joe Biden never won a presidential election, though he ran four times.

FDR committed irreparable harm to the United States.
Biden is committing irreparable harm to the United States.

FDR was the third worst president in history.
Joe Biden is not the President.
The GOP is not the party leadership.  The GOP is the party MEMBERSHIP.   The members need to kick the leaders out if they leaders are going the wrong way.  No coddling allowed.

FDR wasn't a communist....like Clinton he was an opportunist. He had a number of far left/Marxist friendly people in his admin, but the chief thing he wanted was to be president and wield power. If he thought ultra-conservative economic measures would keep him in office, he would have tried to enact them.
I'm no fan of FDR, but calling all Dems commies is simply not being honest.

FDR had enough commies on his staff to make your assertion in the negative of doubtful validity.

So what if he was not a card-carrying member of the Party?  He sympathized with the goals of the Communist Party - one-party rule, forever and boots stamping on the faces of the common man forever, to make no difference.   You don't have to see the stripe on the skunk's back to know it stinks.

As far as calling "all" the Rodents communists, they're not that honest.  Nor are they particularly intelligent.   Most of them are too stupid to realize they're communists, and many don't have the guts to be honest about their affiliations with Marxism.

Look at all the Rodents who actively deny the self-evident marxism of their Kenyan Kollaborator.   They're either lying about it, or just too stupid to see what all the Americans can see easily.

What about all the communists in the United States who claim that the socialism in Venezuela or Cuba or China or the old USSR or the New USSR or Cambodia, isn't "real" socialism, and that the United States is trying to implement "democratic" socialism...as they steal Congressional and Presidential elections with blatant openness?   Are they stupid or criminals, or merely criminally stupid?

I'm not going to draw false distinctions and pretend that the communists in the Rodent parties are less guilty of treason merely because they're STUPID.  They're still traitors and they're still harming my children's futures.

I'm fresh out of mercy for deadly enemies.   I will try to relocate a black widow spider found in my back yard.  By flipping her over the fence into my Rodent neighbor's property.

Roosevelt himself wasn't "a communist".
No doubt he pushed socialist policies.

You're correct that his administration was highly populated with bona-fide, underground communist agents.
He also was intrigued by Stalin.
But many communists disliked him intensely.

I suggest you read the book "Dupes:  How America's Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century" by Paul Kengor.

It can be "found on the net", if you know where to do the diggin' ...
