Hindu-on-Muslim and Muslim-on-Hindu violence have been going on since, IIRC, the 9th Century AD.

And Islam is always the aggressor.  They cannot rest with getting Pakistan, and then Bangladesh and most of Kashmir.  Only a planetary Caliphate will do.
