Texas Ag Commissioner sues Biden administration, claiming farm program discriminates against whites

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is suing the federal government over a program that provides debt relief to racially and ethnically diverse farmers and ranchers that he says discriminates against white ones, including himself.

Miller, who filed the suit Monday in federal court in Fort Worth, is pursuing the issue in a personal capacity, not as part of official role or on behalf of the state. The commissioner, who owns and operates a ranch near Stephenville, about 70 miles southwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, is being represented by lawyers from the America First Legal Foundation. The Washington-based conservative nonprofit was founded by former Trump adviser Stephen Miller.

“When it comes to getting financial aid, it shouldn't matter what race or ethnicity you are,” Stephen Miller said on Sean Spicer's Newsmax show Monday. “You can’t make a more equal country, you can’t make a more unified country, if you split and divide by race.”
