Kamala Harris' office stated ignorance of how volunteers, corporate sponsors chose her book for migrant kids
The inclusion of the book raises questions over who is providing funding for the welcome packs

Fox News contributor and media opinion columnist for The Hill Joe Concha reacts on ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ to Vice President Kamala Harris not yet visiting the southern border.

Vice President Kamala Harris may not be going to the border to greet migrant children, but a children’s book she wrote in 2019 is.

Harris’ children’s book Superheroes Are Everywhere is included in welcome packs for migrant children arriving at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, a recently converted influx facility, along with basic hygiene supplies and clothing, photographs show.

A White House official told Fox News Harris wasn’t aware of the welcome packs, and that these kinds of efforts are usually organized by members of the community.

White House Unclear Why Kamala Harris Book Given to Migrant Kids

The White House could not say Monday whether Vice President Kamala Harris is profiting from her book being included in welcoming packets given to migrant children.

“I’d have to certainly check on that,” Psaki said during the White House press briefing. “Hear it’s a good book.”

The New York Post on Friday published photos of Harris’s 2019 children’s book Superheroes Are Everywhere in welcome packages for migrant children arriving in the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in California.

During the press briefing on Monday, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Psaki why the book was being included in welcome packets and whether she was profiting as a result.

“I’d have to check with our Health and Human Services team,” Psaki said, unable to offer a response.

If copies of her books are purchased for migrants, rather than donated, Harris could be profiting off of the migrant crisis.

Have you ever heard of Catherine Pugh? She is the former mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. Why is she the former mayor you may ask?

Pugh was forced to resign in disgrace in 2018 because of a case where she conspired with corporate cronies to inflate sales of a children’s book in exchange for political favors, PJMedia reports. ...
