Yeah, they'll probably screw him.  Not sure it's worth expending any more emotional energy over this.  We should limit our time in blue cities anyway.  Adventure tourism comes with a risk.  I darn sure wouldn't be a cop there.

Well, yeah, that's what I meant.  No point in doing it locally.  They're not going to "riot in protest" or "loot gleefully" only in Al Franken-land, are they?

Cruz is right.  I could not believe the President of the United States said this about a trial: "I’m praying that verdict is the right verdict, which I think it’s overwhelming, in my view. I wouldn’t say that unless the jury was sequestered now.”

I agree with Cruz.  The Pres. has huge power to sway people's minds - he has caused a mistrial if Chauvin is found guilty.  (That is fine with me, the cop did not intend to kill.  He was keeping the man still until the ambulance could get there.  Plus,  Floyd was yelling about not being able to breathe when he was inside the car.  Chauvin had no knee anywhere near him at that time.)

Chauvin is 45 years old and, as I noted in my interview, people age faster in prison.  However, it is true as Trace ably noted that the sentence could come in around 10 years and even less if the court rejects enhancements. This is assuming that we even have a murder conviction

There will be a murder conviction, the sentence will be the maximum the law allows, appeals will be denied, and he might still even have to undergo the double-jeopardy of a civil rights trial AND then the civil trial that will strip his family of their home and assets.   

Watch the original Willard movie to get an idea of how Rodents behave.
