The Pentagon Is Ready to Give Soldiers Jetpacks

    The Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting ideas for “portable personal air mobility systems.”

    DARPA is looking for one-person powered flight platforms, including jetpacks and powered wingsuits.

    The platform could be used for search and rescue and “augmented urban combat.”

The Pentagon has announced it’s willing to fund a “portable personal air mobility system”—including yours, if you have the right idea.
