“This family is fused closely to the Chinese government,” Schweizer stated. “In fact, her sister, Angela Chao, is one of the few foreign nationals that sits on the board of the Bank of China, which is the biggest bank — and most important bank — as far as Chinese economic statecraft is concerned.”

Since this kerfuffle is claims and insinuations largely or entirely unsupported by unequivocal evidence, I'll add that it could be fake news planted by China to attack the family of former Taiwan citizens who had fled the revolution in 1949. Not unlike the absurd claims in Bloomberg's 2018 false attack on Super Micro Computer, whose founder is originally from Taiwan.

Sorry, but this is bullshit.  The evidence is there and hasn't seen the light of an investigation because each and every one begun has been shut down by the administration Elaine Chao insinuated herself into --- AND with the help of her husband.

The Chao family is uniquely tied to the CCP.  The father went to school with the leader of the CCP and they remained friends,  They visited in China through the years, once with the newlyweds -- Elaine and Mitch -- in tow.

The Chao family has become filthy rich by manipulating Elaine's close ties to the highest echelons of American power.  And Mitch McConnell is a direct beneficiary.  I, for one, would like to know just how this arrangement affected his political actions.  What were the quid-pro-quos?

Stop trying to wipe these two clean ... they're dirty; dirty as hell.

China was more than happy to help the Chao's business double in size. It's the same pattern used with the Biden's. They enrich family close to those that are in power to the point that they hope to influence policy.
