There’s Only One Reason Democrats Are Turning On Cuomo, And It Isn’t A Noble One

 What's most striking is that de Blasio's call to 'revoke the governor's emergency powers' comes after nearly an entire year of Cuomo publicly wielding his power to destroy his own state.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is calling for the state legislature to revoke Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s emergency powers, joining nine Democrats as well as the state’s Republicans in doing so. “The State Legislature,” his Sunday night statement reads, “must immediately revoke the governor’s emergency powers that overrule local control.” Great idea, mayor. But why now?

One reason de Blasio lists is Cuomo’s “withholding of information on the deaths of over 15,000 people” in the nursing-home scandal. That fact, you might notice, has been in the media spotlight for weeks now. Even before then, the mayor didn’t seem to think the on-its-face-stupid-and-obviously-deadly decision was a good reason for removing extralegislative powers.

While last year Fox News’s Janice Dean, The New York Post, The Federalist, The Daily Caller, President Donald Trump, and others exposed and publicly detailed Cuomo’s abuses, the mayor kept silent. He also passed on the chance to sign on with nine members of his own party when they joined their Republican colleagues in calling for an end to the emergency powers more than two weeks ago. What else, then, could have provoked Sunday’s statement?

A second reason the mayor listed is “multiple instances of intimidation.” Those, you might also notice, have been obvious since Cuomo first entered politics.

The rats and rat media cannot possibly admit they were so wrong about this jerk's Covid response so they're changing the subject and ridding themselves of an embarrassing problem by going with the good old 'sexual harassment' standard.

To be more specific, since the linked article doesn't want to, the Camal's Butt Kabal is taking out the obvious opposition for her run to be the permanent replacement for the Senile Usurper once he's removed in January 2023.   

They've already axed governor Nuisance in CA, he's going nowhere.

I see the hands of that Illegal Alien from Kenya in this "Let's Get Cuomo" game.

Can't help but notice... that only 'after' the rats are reasonably sure that their election theft has been successful... do they dare to address their "Cuomo problem".   And yeah, same ole same ole playbook....

Did they already know about and sanction Cuomo's behavior BEFORE now?   Of course.  But along with lying...timing is everything to the rats.

So why would they go after a strong contender, after they spent years building the idiot up, now?

Because their preferred contender has no record and is too stupid to earn one on her own.

If the Silence of the Nursing Homes were to resign, the Rodents would have to move quickly to locate another scape-goat, possibly Governor Nuisance on the Left Coast.  Anything to keep the public focus off the Senile Usurper, his Foot-in-Mouth Disease and his slutty moron replacement.   The less camera time that Camel's Butt gets, the better it is for her and them.

"I guess I'll play Cuomo," the 76-year-old told Colbert when asked whom he'd want to play.
