31 Missouri Judges Recuse Themselves from Lawsuit Alleging Family Court Guardian and Psychologists Orchestrated Money-Making Scheme

In St. Louis County, Mo., Evita Tolu has filed a lawsuit against family court guardian ad litem (GAL) Elaine Pudlowski, psychologist James Reid, and clinical social worker Jennifer Webbe VanLuven, alleging that the trio conspired to use her custody dispute as an opportunity to get rich while sentencing her children to life with an abuser. The lawsuit alleges a scheme perpetrated by a group of professionals to drain parents involved in custody battles. At the end of the court process, parents are broke and kids are traumatized while GALs, court-appointed psychologists, and therapists are enriched. Tolu says the scheme kept her in court for three years, drained her bank account, and alienated her children from her. The suit alleges that this pattern is a regular family court occurrence when Pudlowski is involved.

The writing in this article is not the best - no mention of the judges who supposedly recused themselves - but it does dig into details of what looks like quite a racket among a few social workers and clueless or complicit family court judges. Shortly after the lawsuit was filed, Saint Louis County GALs held a secret meeting, starring Pudlowski and 37 other GALs, which was leaked to investigative journalist Michael Volpe, who posted it to YouTube. The video gives credence to Tolu’s allegations of “ex parte communication” between GALs and judges. In the video, the GALs can be heard discussing friendly judges and judges who want to help them fight the lawsuit against them and their friends. A judge conspiring with a defendant in a case before his court may be obstruction of justice and should be investigated as a criminal matter. When the video was made public, every judge on the Saint Louis County Circuit Court recused themselves.

But perhaps even more shocking is the reason for the clandestine meeting. GALs are attorneys and as officers of the court, they must be familiar with the First Amendment requirements that say citizens have a right to a free press. Despite knowing this, these lawyers plotted together to target and abolish the “Daily Docket News,” by hiring a private investigator at $425 an hour to dox the author of the newsletter. Daily Docket News (DDN) is a newsletter that is sent out by email and has been reporting on what it calls a “Kids for Cash” scheme in Saint Louis County. The scheme allegedly uses children stuck in custody battles, trafficking them and their families through the court system, which enriches psychologists, GALs, and other professionals—anger management companies, mediation companies, and any other company that would profit from a custody case. There are many such companies and persons.

I just heard about this story the other day, and am astounded. I practiced in St. Louis County Circuit Court many years ago, and was fairly impressed with the caliber of judges back then. What's happening now is outrageous.

The connection between sleazy psychologist Reid and his "husband," the arbitrator was particularly disgusting. I used to work with Reid's "husband," the former appellate judge. Well, we were part of the same office, anyway. My only contact with him was at the office Christmas party, where he danced like a spastic marionette.

I've started following this case on a regular basis, as it is happening in my former workplace. Absolutely appalling. The local CBS station finally has picked up on it. A girl told the court her father was abusing her. The judge gave him custody anyway. Now the judge has thrown the mother in jail for complaining about it. Bail hearing today (another judge brought in from neighboring circuit court). The St. Louis County Prosecuting Atty has gotten in on the act (remember, he's that Soros-funded jerk who refuses to prosecute black criminals).

I've not followed it closely, but the stench is amazing and appalling. Worse still, I seriously doubt this situation is entirely unique. Maybe it's the worst, but the whole family court, foster care, and Child Protective Service (or whatever euphemistic name) is a sausage-making racket that grinds up families and children for tyrannical fun and profit.

More Lawsuits Filed Against Court Guardian Elaine Pudlowski in St. Louis Family Court Scandal

Following the bombshell lawsuit filed by attorney Evita Tolu against guardian ad litem (GAL) Elaine Pudlowski that led to the recusal of the entire 21st Judicial Circuit Court in St. Louis, Missouri, three more actions have been filed alleging fraud and misconduct against the GAL and others. Kenneth Rosa, media spokesperson for The Father’s Rights Movement filed a lawsuit against Pudlowski, therapist Mindy Skaggs and The Right Solutions Counseling Services (TRSCS) for “injurious services” among other allegations.

Joining Rosa are Devon Arseneau and Plaintiff X, who does not want to be named publicly, who also named Pudlowski in their individual lawsuits alleging similar claims relating to what they say is family court corruption. Among the shocking claims in Rosa’s lawsuit is the allegation that he did not receive due process in court and was coerced into giving up his rights.

As tempting as it is to sneeringly say this is St. Louis, Fox has found similar @#$% in KC, the other side of the state. And as tempting as it might be to say that this is Missouri, CPS and "family" courts have festering boils in most states. Overturning Mondale's requirement that anonymous accusations be investigated as seriously as those made by identified reporters would be a huge start. Consequences for false accusers and perjurers would be another huge step.

Lest anyone say, sneeringly, that this is just urban hellhole St. Louis, so who cares, I should note that it's St. Louis County, the mostly suburban jurisdiction west of the city of St. Louis. They have separate judicial systems. The litigants and children being abused by this G.A.L. system include solidly middle- and upper-middle-class white folks.

IIRC, St. Louis County includes Ferguson and where the couple being hounded for defending themselves against trespassing BLM thugs. Quite a range of territory.
