PETA: Using Animal Names as Verbal Insults Is ‘Supremacist Language’

The animal activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is urging the public to stop using animal names as verbal insults to other humans because it is “supremacist language.”

Words can create a more inclusive world, or perpetuate oppression.

Calling someone an animal as an insult reinforces the myth that humans are superior to other animals & justified in violating them.

Stand up for justice by rejecting supremacist language.

Well, I certainly agree that my use of the word "Rodent" rather than saying "Democrats, Socialists, Marxists, Fascists, Communists, Morons and Traitors" certainly insults any decent rattus rattus out there, but it certainly does bug the heck out of the Rodents I'm referring to because they don't realize I'm complimenting them and elevating them above the status they actively seek.

We see a PETA or an ASPCA thread every once and awhile, and I always want to make it a point to ask Briefers to network out, and help put a squelch on these sham organizations....

What a beautiful world it would be if every freakin' dollar donated to the PETA and ASPCA activist shits, were instead donated to their local shelters. Think of how many more animals would benefit if these pukes didn't exist.

:amen:Vergette and i volunteer foster for an agency here in VA. and it is either feast or famine. The good news is that he have ben able to reduce the euthanasia rate in some of the shelters from 80+% to near zero.
