Danielle Steel has six (6) books coming out in 2021.

Her books are easy reads, some much better than others.  6 books is a lot of books and it may indicate that they were not well thought out or more of the same.  Some of here earlier works IMHO are much better than what she's written lately.

Danielle Steel may not have had the easiest time writing during lockdown, but she’s still, you know, Danielle Steel, a woman who writes staggering numbers of best-selling books at an enormous desk handcrafted to look like a stack of her best-selling books, whilst wearing a cashmere robe and snacking on chocolate bars. I am not joking. There is no stopping her. By the way, she is 73. Accordingly, while the rest of us scrounge around for the slightest bit of energy to finish making Ben Affleck memes about having no energy to finish anything, Steel will be publishing a half dozen new hardcover books this year with Delacorte Press. They are:

The Affair (March 2)
Finding Ashley (April 27)
Nine Lives (July 6)
Complications (August 17)
The Butler (October 5)
Flying Angels (November 23).....

Well, I already have one of her newest book on reserve at my local library ... I'll let you know what I think afterwards.

Now there's a name from the past. I remember there was a point in the 1990s where it seemed that every other week one of Steel's novels was being made into an NBC made-for-TV movie.

Now there's a name from the past. I remember there was a point in the 1990s where it seemed that every other week one of Steel's novels was being made into an NBC made-for-TV movie.

I call them 'escape' books -- easy reads, lots of drama, some with historical backgrounds.  She's 73 still writing and people are still reading her books. 

She just keeps me entertained, there are but a few that I didn't enjoy or finish and I particularly liked her books that touch on historical fiction.  Though her 2019 book "Spy" was based on history, but I think she failed miserably in the history department and the storyline dragged on and on.

I know she went through a low point when her son died, and stopped writing for a bit. Her book about her sons’ death is recommended but as someone I know who read it told me , keep Kleenex close
