I wrote this last week, but today the New Zealand PM made it publicly official: they are shutting off their country to the world for at least another year. Two years (optimistically) to stop the spread.
"Given the risks in the world around us & the uncertainty of the global rollout of the vaccine, we can expect our borders to be impacted for much of this year."
NZ received endless media praise for its police state model. Lockdown death spiral continues.
Meanwhile, NZ is becoming a client state of China. Their economy is moving in the direction of a lockdown-driven collapse, so they're seeking a Beijing bailout.
