Joe Biden Revises Promise: Enough Vaccines for 300 Million Americans by Early Fall

President Joe Biden clarified Tuesday that he expected the delivery of enough vaccine doses for 300 million Americans by early fall.

On Monday, Biden told a reporter that enough vaccines would be available for every American who wanted one in the spring.

“I think it’ll be this spring. I think we’ll be able to do that this spring,” Biden said in response to a question.

Biden said he would increase weekly available vaccines to states from 8.6 million doses per week to a “minimum” of ten million doses per week.

The president acknowledged that credit was due to former President Donald Trump’s administration for speeding up the development of the vaccine, but claimed that the distribution plans for the vaccine fell short.

“It’s also no secret that we have recently discovered in the final days of the administration, and it wasn’t until the final days that we got the cooperation we needed, that once we arrived, the vaccine program was in worse shape than we anticipated, than we expected,” Biden said.

I don't really care one way or the other, but doesn't this promise depend on Pfizer, et al., being able to produce these numbers?

And the approval of the other three candidates. J&J is close. AstraZeneca submitted their data, but they're sitting in limbo for months now—what happened?

As if Fauci was kept in the dark for four years and has zero information to pass on to the Biden Administration.

Before the end of 2020 Trump had 400M doses under purchase contract. The Pfizer vaccine cannot be used on under-16-YOs, and the Moderna vaccine not on under-18-YOs. Those are the terms of their EUA. So this is a meaningless Trump-Already Did It promise.
