Biden uses kindergarten-style ‘theme days’ to roll out sea of exec orders
January 25, 2021 | Jon Dougherty President Joe Biden’s flurry of executive actions taken during his first day in office was apparently just a warm-up: He plans to issue several more, and each day will take on a new “theme,†according to a Monday report.
This week, according to The Hill, Biden plans to focus on a range of issues as a means of rapidly imposing his policies on the country while dismantling those of former President Donald Trump via a series of daily “themes.â€
But the bizarre roll-out appears to have all the trappings of a grade-school level weekly schedule.
Monday: ‘Buy American’ Day
On Monday, the president is expected to sign an order that instructs federal agencies to bolster requirements to obtain goods and services from American workers and businesses.
During his campaign, Biden said he wanted to invest $400 billion during his initial term in products made by American companies and workers. Also, he promised “to tighten loopholes and waivers that allowed federal agencies to buy products produced overseas, and to crack down on false advertising surrounding products that claimed to be made in the United States,†the outlet reported.
During his first months in office, Trump also signed a “buy American†order which also sought to increase American workers’ wages and limit the influx of certain visa-holders.
