Wyoming GOP: ‘Consensus Is Clear,’ Liz Cheney’s Impeachment Vote Has Sparked Unprecedented Outcry

The Wyoming Republican Party on Wednesday published a list of criticisms it received from constituents about House Republican Conference chair Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) vote to impeach President Donald Trump over last week’s deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol.

“There has not been a time during our tenure when we have seen this type of an outcry from our fellow Republicans, with the anger and frustration being palpable in the comments we have received. Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time,” the Wyoming GOP said in a statement. “The consensus is clear that those who are reaching out to the Party vehemently disagree with Representative Cheney’s decision and actions.”

The Wyoming GOP released comments accusing Cheney of refusing to allow President Trump due process during the House’s impeachment efforts and siding with radical progressives.

“By announcing her decision to vote for impeachment Representative Cheney denied President Trump due process; she judged the ‘evidence’ before it was presented and refused to listen to the arguments made,” the statement reads. “Representative Cheney has aligned herself with leftists who are screaming that what happened last Wednesday is the ‘worst thing ever in our history’ (or similar such claims). That is absurd and shows their lack of knowledge of history as well as their willingness to skew the facts to further their corrupt agenda.”

House Impeachment managers and others quoted Cheney at least 7 times (my count) in their witch hunt, making it sound like a bipartisan rebuke.  Knocking her out of her Leadership Post Needs to be PRIORITY ONE of membership of the GOP House.

She is a cancer....   Cut her out NOW.

On Jan 12, Liz Cheney made up a fictional story about the President, with no evidence. She then voted for Articles of Impeachment that contained zero evidence of “High Crimes”, in violation of the the spirit & text of the Constitution. @RepLizCheney
 has no place in GOP Leadership
Shouldn’t something as important as the Impeachment of the President of the United States require an investigation into the evidence, facts & timeline? Witnesses & law enforcement interviewed about “High Crimes”? Instead, @RepLizCheney & @SpeakerPelosi relied on media articles

In a blistering interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in October 2008, Donald Trump wondered aloud why then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had not impeached George W. Bush. “The [Iraq] war is a total catastrophe,” Trump said on the once-friendly network that’s been his mortal enemy since 2016. “There’s only one person you can blame and that’s our current president.”

The Manhattan real estate mogul insisted Bush should have been removed from office for lying about Saddam Hussein’s secret trove of weapons of mass destruction, the rationale for the 2003 invasion. “Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying. By saying they had WMDs, by saying all sorts of things that happened not to be true.” Bush was, Trump claimed, “the worst president ever.” ...

One would be hard-pressed to name a president and vice president in modern political history with a longer list of death, destruction, debt, and global destabilization than George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. But being a neocon, or the progeny of a neocon, means never having to say you’re sorry.

Quite the opposite, in fact. The younger Cheney possesses all the hubris, myopia, and pseudo-intellectualism her father displayed during his 50-year presence in Washington.  ...
