The Navy SEAL who admitted to choking a Special Forces soldier to death in 2017 has agreed to plead guilty, according to his attorney.

Chief Petty Officer Tony DeDolph was formally charged with another SEAL and two special operations Marines in November 2018 with felony murder, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, burglary, hazing, and involuntary manslaughter in the strangulation death of Army Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar, a Special Forces soldier assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group.

Sources familiar with the plea deal say DeDolph will plead guilty on January 14 to involuntary manslaughter, obstruction of justice, and hazing. The prosecution will dismiss felony murder and burglary in exchange for the guilty plea. Sources say DeDolph also agreed to a provision that bars him from profiting from the case in any way, including writing books or earning a living based on his experience at SEAL Team 6.

@rangerrebew

INVOLUNTARY manslaughter?????? He strangled a SF soldier to death while another SEAL and two jarheads helped hold him down, and this was done accidentally??????

Who the HELL is he related to?

Hazing? Yeah, this was all an accident that happened while going through a fraternity initialization.  Just a bunch of immature frat boys being immature frat boys. Nothing to see here, folks, move on.

Yeah, charges that SHOULD result in a death penalty sentence when found guilty.

Duh poor bay-bay! The inhumanity of making him suffer like that while waiting for that provision to be repealed.

Once again,WHO is this MoFo related to?

Anybody else notice there is no mention made of reduced charges against the two jarheads or the other Seal.

Or of him having to testify against them in exchange for having his wrist slapped?

Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

UPDATE from another news source, with my own comments added for emphasis .

Like the other two special operators who pleaded guilty in 2019 — former Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Adam C. Matthews and former Marine Raider Staff Sgt. Kevin Maxwell Jr. — Stackhouse maintained DeDolph never intended to injure Melgar

Of course he didn't. He strangled the man to death accidentally. Who amongst us HASN'T accidentally strangled someone to death?</sarcasm>

Quote
The Navy in November 2018 charged DeDolph, Matthews, Maxwell, and another Marine Raider, Gunnery Sgt. Mario Madera-Rodriguez, with a series of crimes including felony murder, involuntary manslaughter, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, hazing and burglary for their roles in Melgar’s death.

Ahhh, now an accidental burglary! Once again, who amongst us hasn't accidentally burgled a teammate or co-worker after strangling him to death accidentally?

After all, boys WILL be boys, and who better defines "boys" than USMC gunnery sgts? Nothing to see here, just boys being boys,so lets move on,ok?

Quote
The attorney said DeDolph agreed as part of the plea deal not to profit from “publication or dissemination of information,” such as a book deal while he is imprisoned, should he be sentenced to confinement. Stackhouse also said DeDolph had no plans to write a book or profit from his time as a SEAL.

That's awful "white" of him.  I did NOT note it being said anywhere that there would be actual restrictions from him doing so if he changed his mind.

In other words, one the dust settles, look for a book and/or movie contract to be signed.

Quote
Maxwell also testified the plan was to culminate in a “sexual molestation” of Melgar captured on video.

Of course homosexual rape was a part of the plan. After all,SEALS ARE sailors, and what could be more traditional than homosexual rape?

That does seem to be the world we are living in now, doesn't it?

The Dims actually have the gall to now want to impeach Trump for election theft. The world can't possibly get more upside down than that.

Sometimes it actually seems like those fools WANT us to go into open rebellion and use force to remove them from office, doesn't it?

Not that Schulmer,Pelosi, and the others don't have charter jets on standby to fly them to safe refuge in China, because we KNOW they do. There is nothing in this entire world more important to them than themselves.

Hell, chances are THEY are the ONLY things that ARE important to them. It's all about "Me,me,ME,DAMMIT!" to the Dim leadership, and to  hell with the country,

Remember the song by the Kinks called Lola?  They saw this nonsense coming long before most people.  Nowhere else in the world could you find 535 well compensated (legally and illegally) crooks, with better benefits, plenty of time off, who lie, cheat, and steal, from the people who put them where they are.  It is a joke, a da*n dangerous one. :thud:

True, and they even managed to arrange things so they are the ones that vote to improve their pay, retirement pay,as well as the other benefits they receive.

It is the ultimate sweetheart deal with nobody able to interfere and upset their apple carts.

IIRC,can't they even retire with full benefits after serving just one term in office?
