The worst criminals of all in this are the Congressional Republicans denying that there was massive, provable voter fraud in this election.

President Trump did not incite the mob, voter fraud did. And if someone is looking for sedition, look no further than George Soros and those who accept his dirty money.

These Republicans are now as much the enemies of our right to vote in free and fair elections as the most demonic Democrat. The RNC must be reformed from top to bottom with new leadership.

Democrats robbed the bank but these RINO Republicans drove the get-away car.

inconvenient fact:  GOP candidates did rather well this election (at least prior to Georgia).   Mr.  Trump lost because of issues unique to Mr. Trump.

So did Trump.  He picked up the support of 11 million more Americans - a 17% increase - than he got in 2016.  Only five Presidents in US history have done better.  He received the highest number of votes an incumbent President has ever received.  The percentage of Americans voting for Trump in 2020 paralleled Ronald Reagan's numbers in 1984.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

It's Donny's orange make-up. It's from outer space/cosmic rays. It makes normally decent people act like him at times.
I think most of the name-callers are actually good people. They've simply lost their ability to think rationally over their idolization of Trump.

Well said,  goatprairie.   He could easily have been the great President he aspired to be.   He faced enormous,  unfair opposition.    But he stepped in it.   A coordinate branch of government physically assaulted by  a mob while in session,  immediately preceded by Trump's exhortations to march to the Capitol and fight.

He's done.   It is time to divorce the man from the movement,   if you give a rat's ass about the movement.

After Trump is gone, the very thin thread that's holding the left together(hatred of Trump) snaps. There isn't the emotional attachment that the left has for Biden like they did for BHO or some on the right have for Trump.

2022 could be a great year for conservatives if and when the Democrat coalition fights and breaks. The GOP needs to start today building on many of those voters that Trump, to his credit, brought to the party. For example, the largest percentage of minority voters for any GOP candidate in decades despite being called racist

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

And here I've been thinking for the past couple of days, that TBR was a beacon of light compared to TOS.

That thought has been shot to hell, thanks to this thread.

The depths that Trumpistas will go with their personal attacks knows no bounds, and I'm disappointed the mods are showing the same will that the Capitol Poiice showed on the 6th.

@Night Hides Not

When dealing with human emotions, things get a little heated. But, I'm looking ahead. Whining about an election that's come and gone is counter productive.

Yes, I believe this election was a mess. I think it's fair to look into some of the claims of voter fraud. But until I see more evidence, I don't believe that Trump lost due to voter fraud. He can be his own worse enemy.

They left knows that many of their ideas are not only unpopular with the general public, but harmful, especially to the economy. That's why I believe the tech companies are trying to silence opposing viewpoints to their leftists agenda and networks are demanding FOX be silenced. They don't want their ideas be  debated in the public arena  of ideas. They're not upset about the lawlessness we saw in DC this week. In fact, they're overjoyed because they want to use that event to silence opposition. For public safety, of course

But they are also their own worse enemy

They are silencing the masses which is clear and blatant violation of our First Amendment right.  They will continue until every bit of conservatism is buried, our history is buried and socialism installed.

Regardless if you believe the election was stolen or not, Cruz, Hawley and others had an absolute right and duty to object and contest the votes. It was NOT about trying to overturn an election, but rather trying to preserve the integrity of the election. Well, that avenue is completely gone. There will never be another fair election and you will not see another GOP seated.  The GOP died along with the destruction of the ballot box.

Yes, we need to move forward that is a given.  WE need to figure out how to do that.  Sitting back and letting the leftists and globalists destroy our Republic and dominate so that socialism is implemented is what we need to try to remedy.

How do we do that?  Your suggestions are welcome.

I'm not down with him close to being a great president. I got about half of what I wanted policy-wise.
But character counts. And Trump has no character. You can't separate that from whatever policy successes he had.  Much of what could have been done by other Republicans.
Cruz would have done better. No ridiculous tariffs or trade wars. Cruz would have understood the deficit of which Trump had no understanding. And of course no stupid tweets and punching down at ankle-biters.
Too late now.

I'm counting on that to give us a chance in 2024. Might be a lot longer.

Well, I am an avid Cruz supporter and I voted for him in the primaries and was very disgusted with Trump's behavior towards Cruz and was extremely disappointed when Trump became the nominee.

I was overwhelmingly surprised as most people I think were, when Trump beat Hillary.

With that being stated, the left would have done the same thing to Cruz if he was elected President; they hate him as well.  I believe they would have accused him of the same bogus Russian collusion, etc.

We'll never know how Cruz would have reacted or if he would have been able to withstand all the mudslinging. Whether Cruz or any other Republican could have done any better is really irrelevant because what we are facing now is socialism.

IMHO Trump had some character flaws, I take issue with some of the backpedaling that he did and take issue with some of the things he didn't do.

I believe this election was absolutely stolen.  Our freedom of speech is being trampled on.  The integrity of our ballot box is gone.

Trump re-elected this wouldn't be happening.  They needed him gone to implement socialism and in order to do that they had to silence the masses he represented.

As I've always stated....Trump is/was who was standing between us and socialism.  Character flaws and all ... he stood for the voice of the people.

Biden/Harris socialism is coming.

1.  Stop railing about the election being "stolen".
2.  Declassify everything related to "Russia-gate", even if he has to do it by asking for the files to be sent to him personally, marking them declassified himself and sending them to wikileaks.
3.  Get his acting AG to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hunter Biden's overseas activities.
4.  Pardon Edward Snowden.
5.  Pardon Juiian Assange.
6.  Find name of the guy who was put in the stockade for trying to save his unit in Afghanistan by sending an e-mail via Yahoo! Mail that had some classified intel in it (who kept being brought up as a contrast to the treatment of HRC's mishandling of classified intel) and pardon him, too.

I realize 4 and 5 are controversial here, but they are enemies of the Deep State that opposed Trump from before he was even elected, and it would really outrage John Brennan to do it.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

Mr.  Trump lost because of issues unique to Mr. Trump.

Let's look at this from an honest angle because you may be right; just not for the reasons you so smugly think.

President Trump forms an unbreakable bond with 75+million Americans.  They come out in droves on November 3, increasing his vote total by 11+ million giving him the most votes of any incumbent President and a landslide victory.

Simultaneously, President Trump elicits a blinding hatred among two groups of crazies that combine forces:

1) Socialists and Communist nuts and
2) Lying, weak-kneed, uninspiring, spineless cretins primarily found among Republican white males whose silver tongues have turned to rust.

Group 1: Perpetrates the greatest theft in American election history and Group 2: Drives the get away car.

If your post means anything else @Jazzhead --- then it's just full of shit, as usual.

 You forgot to add @Right_in_Virginia

3) Conservatives that never bought into Trump's BS

Sure, the Election was stolen from him. I find it extremely ironic that a Reality TV Star, famous for firing people, was so incapable of doing that to save his Administration and America.

That would not include Ted Cruz, who, incidentally, has been an outstanding ally during this post election mayhem.

I have begun recently entertaining the fact that Ted is calculable riding this post election wave, unsure where it's gonna go. It all depends on what Trump does in the not so distant future.
IMHO, he's as scared as the rest of us and as uncertain of the future, not only his party but of his Country. *

Ted's facing petitions and significant outrage from the left.  I think he will survive, but he is priority 1 for unseating next time.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Any effective voice against the left is a priority target. And there always seems to be republicans who fall for rat media spin.
