Putting SARS-CoV-2 in perspective, a year ago the world outside of China would not learn of its existence as a "thing" for another 4 days. The virus' DNA sequence would not become known until 2 weeks later, and China would not stop lying about there being no evidence of human-human transmission for another 24 days. What the world knows or has significant reason to believe is correct about the virus is necessarily limited - lack of experience.
* Other than that the earliest people who have recovered and volunteered to be tested and the people vaccinated in the earliest vaccine tests still have significant antibody and T-cell levels, how long immunity from recovery and from vaccination will last is unknown.
* Because of the risk-benefit choices of FDA-like government agencies, those making the risk-benefit choice to be vaccinated cannot know what side effects there might be 5 or 10 or 30 years out. There is no risk-free choice available. Not assuming the risks of a vaccine with less than a year of testing assumes the risks of getting Covid and all its possible outcomes (many that are short of death force medium or long-term life changes!).
