On Monday, Republican Senator Rand Paul called out socialist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for taking the COVID-19 vaccine before the elderly.

Ocasio-Cortez previously filmed herself getting the vaccine.

"I was asked about getting vaccinated with others in Congress: It is inappropriate for me - who has already gotten the virus/has immunity - to get in front of elderly/healthcare workers. Same goes for AOC or any young healthy person. They should be among last, not first," Paul tweeted.

It's not like Congress is an essential industry.  We get by just fine when they're in recess.  Maybe even better, after all as Gideon Tucker opined, "No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session."

I can understand older politicians getting the vax, to "lead by example" and prove it doesn't kill you, but when the youngest ones do it, it seems like they're using their status to muscle their way to the front of the line.
