President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration will be mostly virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, who is one of five co-chairs for the inauguration, said on Tuesday that the Jan. 20 event will be 80% virtual.

"Look, we know what we’re in, and Joe Biden admitted very clear that he is going to lead by precept and example," Clyburn said on Morning Joe. "And so we will be setting an example with this inauguration. It is going to be what we might call a hybrid. He’ll take the oath in the traditional way, but all of the inaugural festivities are going to be 80% — what you call virtual."

He revealed that the co-chairs have not figured out exactly how Biden will be sworn in, but said he thinks the former vice president will take the oath at the Capitol Building, like his predecessors.
