Biden announces all-female White House communications team

President-elect Joe Biden on Sunday unveiled what his transition team says is the first entirely female White House communications team in U.S. history.

Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced the members of their White House senior communications staff, calling the women “diverse, experienced, and talented.”

“Communicating directly and truthfully to the American people is one of the most important duties of a President, and this team will be entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of connecting the American people to the White House,” Biden said in a statement.


The Biden team named Jen Psaki, who currently oversees confirmations for the transition team, as White House press secretary. It cited her experience as White House communications director, deputy White House communications director and deputy White House press secretary during the Obama administration.

Psaki released a statement in response to the news, saying she was "honored to work again for @JoeBiden."

Every single member of the Pres. Trump Communications Office is female too, but for was never found "newsworthy".   (heard it this AM on talk radio)

Former Vice President Joe Biden will make history by having a female-led communications team in the White House, the Washington Post reported on Sunday. The only problem with the claim is that President Trump’s communications team is led across the board by women right now.

“Jennifer Psaki, a veteran Democratic spokeswoman, will be Biden’s White House press secretary, one of seven women who will fill the upper ranks of his administration’s communications staff. It is the first time all of the top aides tasked with speaking on behalf of an administration and shaping its message will be female,” the Post’s Annie Linskey and Jeff Stein falsely claimed.

NPR’s Benjamin Swasey and Franco Ordoñez also regurgitated the spin from the Biden team, writing that it would be “the first time in history” such roles were filled by women.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews, a woman, noted that the Trump administration’s communications team is entirely female-led right now:

Joe lobbied really hard for the cast of Cuties and was heartbroken when he found out he would have to settle for older girls. Actually that is really how he injured himself, he was so angry when they told him he kicked a cushion and broke his foot.

I understand that the democrats have laid in such large supply of Thorazine for Joe that it created a shortage in the pharmacies.
