Unlicensed Immigrant Avoids Felony Charge In Fatal DUI Crash In New York
NEW YORK CITY, NY - On Sunday, police arrested Jasen Nhambiu, 49, after he reportedly hit a woman, who had just walked out of her Brooklyn house on Atlantic Avenue.
The victim, 62-year-old Alina Morales bounced off of the front bumper of the driver's red Hyundai Sonata and fell to the pavement.
The New York Post reported:
She was taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center but couldn’t be saved.
Nhambiu, who was driving with a suspended license, remained at the scene but refused to take a blood alcohol test, cops said.
