Supreme Court ruling doesn’t have 'any practical effect,' Cuomo says

ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is downplaying the significance of a Supreme Court decision blocking him enforcing stringent attendance limits on religious institutions in Covid hot spots.

“That Supreme Court ruling on the religious gatherings is more illustrative of the Supreme Court than anything else,” Cuomo said on a Thanksgiving morning briefing call. “It’s irrelevant from any practical impact.”

The Wednesday night decision came after a challenge by Catholic and Jewish organizations in Brooklyn neighborhoods that the governor placed in a “red zone” earlier this fall. Under that classification, congregations of more than 10 people at a time were prohibited.

Another clear example of how big name democrats have no respect for the Constitution, the Separation of Powers, and the rule law. :facepalm2:

Sure it does, or SCOTUS would have passed it off as "moot."  This move by SCOTUS means he can't slap restrictions on houses of worship again, and it's important because King Cuomo wanted to do it again just before Christmas and Chanukah.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

Certainly not when it impedes their ability to control people's lives and dictate their rights.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

“It’s irrelevant from any practical impact...”

Assuming that the Republicans retain control of the Senate in 2021 -- and that's a BIG assumption to make right now -- I predict that we're going to be hearing a lot of similar remarks from the harris-biden regime executive branch regarding future Supreme Court decisions, particularly in regard to the Second Amendment...

(which will be accompanied by their refusal to enforce same...)
