We just had that family discussion last night. We've decided not to get together this year. We have too many seniors that we can't risk losing.
@mrpotatohead @Cyber Liberty@mystery-ak @Gefn My son and his intended (they were to marry this November which starts this Monday, but they are stuck in their condo [they own it] and can't leave), are now living in Cardiff, Wales, and Wales last Friday went into tier 3, Wales and rest of England named tier for the worst action to stop interacting with each other.
They can only leave the condo to exercise, can't meet with anyone, even family. He bought a fancy stationary bicycle and they both use it in order to keep their body moving.
Both they and her mom and dad, are calling in a food order for a week, the groceries get delivered to their door so they and her parents never leave their house.
Third tier also means they can't drive anywhere except to get food, go to doctor. They can't drive out of Cardiff, can't drive out of Wales. He gave up his apartment in London and they moved everything in apartment to condo in Cardiff.
London is in tier 2, so they have a few more freedoms but tier 3 is likely going to happen there.
We meet every four days using Skype. I bought my little Yorkie, Prissy, a sweater as it is now cold here, and they could see her with her sweater on. We may gripe about electronic technology, but without that, I could not see them/talk to them. An actual phone call to them was and is, expensive. Skype is free.
