(The Post Millennial) – President Trump’s confidants have told Axios that the President plans to pardon former national security advisor Michael Flynn. Flynn served as a senior advisor to Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign.
On January 22, 2017, Flynn was sworn in as the National Security Advisor. He then resigned shortly thereafter, when information surfaced that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about the nature and content of his communications with Russian ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. Flynn’s tenure was the shortest in the history of the position.
In late 2017, Flynn agreed to partake in the investigation and formalized a deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller to plead guilty to a felony count of “willfully and knowingly†making false statements to the FBI
