McConnell Vows to Continue Confirming Judges: 'We're Going to Run Through the Tape'

As we recall, following the death of Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in September, President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell ignored protestations from Democrats and the liberal media — no; in spite of histrionic Democrats and the hysterical barking hyenas of the liberal media — and successfully powered through the nomination and confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to fill Ginsburg’s seat.
Mission accomplished. Expeditiously so.
Then in late October, as reported by the Daily Wire, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt interviewed McConnell about filling Barrett’s vacated seat on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, along with other vacant seats — present and future — throughout the post-election lame-duck term. Hewitt asked:
“There is now a vacancy on the Seventh Circuit for which there is a nominee, and the death of a First Circuit judge has opened up a vacancy on that circuit. Certainly, that was not expected and is to be regretted. But do you expect the Senate to fill those two positions in the lame-duck term after the election?â€
