We wanted to stay in AZ when I retired, so we moved to the reddest County in the state:  Mohave.  I moved from the Sonoran Desert to the Mojave Desert.  It's a bit hotter here, but we're used to it.  Having a Castle 900 ft above the Colorado Rivers makes for a fantastic view, especially sunsets.

This video is best from :30 to :50 seconds....

We lived in Chandler for a long time.  I worked at Motorola/Freescale/NXP.

My father in law was an engineer at Motorola/Freescale for many years...still does a little spot work for them out of retirement. You wouldn't happen to know an Engineer named Randy Gray would you?

Also, nothing beats an Arizona desert sunrise/sunset...the colors in the sky are just unreal.

I love the White Mountains!  Especially South of Alpine! @Mesaclone

I've fallen in love with the Forest Lakes area and some areas up around Show Low...Alpine is just beautiful as well. I'm "shopping" for an acre or so but still have another decade to go before I can actually retire...want to lock in a piece of land in the next year though, before the Californians snatch it all up (which is already well under way).

I liked Show Low.  We used to go to the Hon-Dah casino resort.  We looked around there, but I didn't care for the home prices and the snow.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
