Portland City Commissioner Who Wants To Slash Police Budget Calls 911 Over Lyft Ride

Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty, who has previously called for budget cuts for police, utilized the emergency service Nov. 1 after her Lyft driver cancelled her ride.

Lyft driver Richmond Frost picked Hardesty up at a casino, according to KOIN. Frost kept the windows open in accordance with COVID protocols that Lyft implemented.

Frost told police that Hardesty  “became irate when he refused to roll the windows up,” according to Fox News. He then pulled into a gas station and canceled the ride, asking Hardesty to leave the vehicle. However, Hardesty allegedly refused to get out of the car because “it was cold and she was a woman and alone,” per the same report.

She then called 911 and told police she would not get out in the dark, according to audio obtained by The Oregonian.

I have been LMAO since I first heard about this.  She got kicked out of the Lyft because the driver refused to ignore Corporate Policy about cracking the windows, then refused to vacate the car, which is why there were TWO 911 calls that night...she should be done for tresspassing.

Gawd, that woman fell out of the Ugly tree, and hit every branch on the way down.

This may come as a shock to you, dear reader, but cop-hating Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty has failed to take responsibility for her awful behavior towards a Lyft driver.

“I didn’t expect the Lyft driver to do it. Certainly didn’t expect the place to do it. It was my responsibility to make sure I got home safe and I did everything I could to get home safe. Where you’re living in a city where white supremist [sic] are proudly riding around in their big trucks with their flags. And you’re a black person. Does somebody wants to sit on the side of the road at night? Not going to happen.”

Remember, Hardesty became verbally abusive to her driver when she failed to show up at the designated pickup spot at the casino. The Lyft driver sacrificed over an hour of his time for no pay trying to accommodate her special needs. Hardesty insisted that the driver close the windows, in contradiction of Lyft’s COVID-19 recommendations for driver and rider safety.

Wow! I didn't know casinos had filters that exclude "white supremacists". I mean, she didn't hesitate going into a busy casino despite supposedly living in fear of "white supremacists", so "white supremacists" must be magically filtered out somehow.
