I think he should be given admission to West Point, and a full commission afterwards as he represents the best in America.
@IsailedawayfromFR Speaking as a former career professional infantryman,I couldn't agree more. With no military training at all,he has already proven he knows how to keep his cool and try to retreat when the situation calls for retreat, and to shoot when he needs to shoot.
Even more importantly,he has proven he knows when NOT to shoot. You would expect someone his age,in the position he was in at that time being chased down the street by a crowd of armed anarchists,to just keep shooting once he started.
He didn't. He did the minimum amount of shooting he HAD to do to save his own life, and then he stopped and walked/ran away while allowing his attackers to do the same.
Granted,in a military situation you don't let ANY of them get away if you can kill or capture them, but this was NOT a military situation. It was a civilian situation that required good judgement in a time of absolute personal chaos.
Anybody that can pull that off at his age in THOSE circumstances has the good judgement under pressure that is needed by military officers.
I just can't say enough positive things about him. He is remarkable in every respect.
