If you plan on traveling to NYS, you must take a COVID-19 test and have proof of a negative test result within three days of arriving. Once you arrive in NYS you must quarantine for three days. On the fourth day you can take COVID-19 test, if the test is negative you can go about your life but if the test is positive you must remain in quarantine.

Cuomo says the new policy applies to every state except for bordering states such as Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania due to interconnected nature of the region.

It would probably be a cluster duck if NJ and CT were on the ban

They're mostly fine and have already been covered under a short-term essential worker exemption. Get in, get out, you're OK.
