I had an experience today I found encouraging.
Family and I decided to not go to our regular church this morning as we opted instead to stay close to home and attended a non-denominational church we had not frequented in a couple of years.
The church patrons and service had changed considerably since we had last been there, as it had a revivalist pastor, a lot of gospel praise music and, undeniably not coincidentally, almost 50% blacks in the congregation.
I had only attended a real black service but once in East New Orleans, and this was similar to that experience. Lots of Hallelujahs and raised arms, with a general all-around good feeling one was close to God.
At one time the pastor during his sermon recounted some of the trials we are going through such as Covid, riots, lost jobs and the like. When he came to the Tuesday election, several of the vocal blacks in attendance shouted Trump! or We Need Trump! to my astonishment.
If this is indicative of what people feel, it may be that Tuesday goes down as one historic reckoning for the Democrat party.
