Qingdao reported a total of six new COVID-19 cases and six asymptomatic infections on Sunday, all linked to the Qingdao Chest Hospital, where infected travellers arriving from overseas have been treated in an isolated area.
"Qingdao" is the Pinyin rendering of what used to be called "Tsingtao". I'm not anywhere close to being in the medical field, but I'm wondering whether China's hard shutdown interrupted the natural process of "herd immunity" being developed. I haven't been following vaccine development for China, but AFAIK, no vaccine has been approved for general use in China.
