Miracle no one was seriously injured. A guy that goes to my Church lives on a curve the speed limit drops 25 mph. Every time it rained, snowed etc... Some dipstick would take the turn to fast and end up hitting his tree, on his lawn etc... He went and had cameras put in and it will tell you how fast the person was going. He ended up having to put "landscaping" rocks on the property line because one J@CK@$$ came within about 2 ft of his house.
Last month while out walking I missed by by about one minute being creamed by a car that had collided with another car that had turned in front of it on a county trunk I was walking on.
The careening car entered the lawn of the property I was walking past and smashed into a large spruce tree. Neither driver was hurt, but if I had been one minute slower, she would have creamed me.
The large spruce tree she crashed into is still listing at a five degree angle.
If I owned a house on a highway, I'd very probably plant large spruce trees or have boulders put on the lawn.
