During their time in the Cotswolds, the planes have flown more than 50 sorties

Plane enthusiasts have enjoyed more than a month of spotting the rare B-52 bombers darting over Glocestershire's skyline.

But this evening, the last of the US aircraft departed from our county for home.

The giant planes were deployed at RAF Fairford for five weeks, but most of the fleet left on Saturday.

The headline makes it look like the B-52's are being phased out of service. If this is true, what is replacing them?

BTW,you ain't heard NOISE until you have stood along a runway while a flight of heavily loaded B-52's were taking off under maximum power.

It is noise you can FEEL in your bones.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
