I got one! I got one. Well two. Just in time for Halloween. “They’re coming to take me awayâ€And “The Monster Mashâ€
Error 404 (Not Found)!!1Robert Pickett recorded "Monster Mash" in 1962 with, among others, Gary S. Paxton ("Alley Oop") and Leon Russell. There was a Christmas themed "Monsters' Holiday" also released in 1962. Whether it or "Transylvania Twist" charted, I don't know. Novelty records like this series and artists like Weird Al are too rare nowadays, IMO.
Gotta download some of these songs for the great memories and great times.
Technically they had a follow up minor hit that pretty much sucked, so for all intents and purposes, they were a one hit wonder.
