Bogus Study Claims Sturgis Rally Led to 266k Coronavirus Cases
by Matt PalumboPosted: September 10, 2020

Just months after the liberal media decided that disobeying social distancing guidelines was A-OK as long it was to protest for a left-wing cause, they’ve decided that the Sturgis motorcycle rally risks bringing about the apocalypse.

It does appear to be true that the coronavirus doesn’t spread as quickly outdoors – but that doesn’t excuse the hypocrisy of the left who for months branded anyone who wanted to leave their home a “grandma killer.”

While they’d never do such an analysis of Black Lives Matter protests that have attracted millions nationwide, the latest horribly designed study spawned to create sensationalist headlines found that the  recent Sturgis rally was a “superspreading event that cost public health $12.2 billion” (as The Hill puts it). The study, conducted by the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, also claimed that 266,000 cases were tied to the rally, which nearly half a million attended.

Debunking this study is about as simple as reading their methodology.

Funny stuff. No doubt they got that number from Biden or Pelosi.
They both mix up thousands, millions, and billions all the time.
And yes, of course, you will never hear any study about how the riots are spreading disease and destruction of all kinds throughout America. The so called 'protesters' (modern day Brownshirts) are somehow magically immune to COVID. However, if anyone goes to Church they are murdering Grandma.

Leftists are so transparent with their bullshit. It is amazing anyone believes a single word they say.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

They likely pulled that number from an actual number of cases, which is probably close to about 260 or so, and multiplied it by 1,000 for no good reason other than to deliberately inflate the total.

Plus, the use of cell phone data to track movement has never been proven to correlate with human contact. A person traveling thousands of miles alone would be at much less risk than someone who barhops all over their home city, but the latter would look like a good citizen while the latter would be a huge (hugh and very series?) risk according to models like the IHME.

COVID data is unreliable and is only being utilized and manipulated to control the populace.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
