The Media’s Campaign of Misinformation — Trust in the Media Remains at an All Time Low

A new study by the Knight Foundation and Gallup Poll reveals that Americans’ trust in the media is at an all-time low. The Attorney General of the United States, William Barr, agrees, stating in an interview with Mark Levin that the media is “projecting a narrative” to fit its own agenda.

The summer of 2020 has been dominated by news of the coronavirus pandemic and then the protests, rioting and looting that broke out in response to the death of George Floyd. For the 20,000 Americans who participated in the polling conducted by Gallup and Knight, the desire for news remains high, but the trust of that news has plummeted to an all-time low.

According to the survey, there is a “deepening pessimism and further partisan entrenchment about how the news media delivers on its democratic mandate for factual, trustworthy information…As such, Americans have not only lost confidence in the ideal of an objective media, they believe news organizations actively support the partisan divide.”

20 years ago, you just remained skeptical of slanted garbage news.  Now misinformation  is pretty much instutionalized.  Nothing from the MSM can be believed anymore. 

There is no reason what so ever to read, watch or listen to anything from MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, WaPo, NYT, PBS, or NPR.  They have taken the act of lying, and made it an art.

That's true. It used to be the media would lie by omission, by covering one story and not another or by leaving out critical details about what really happened. They still do that but now they simply 'make up' stories and lies and present their own lies as news.

We have all seen articles with "Sources say..." or "High level officials report...". This is all made-up bullshit. The American media no longer 'reports' the news. Today, they write their own news in their own agenda and narrative. And when they get caught, which happens almost daily, the media simply shrugs it off and goes on spewing the same lies over and over again. The American media has no credibility. And what is worse, they have no shame.

The Leftist motto is, "Do whatever it takes!". The American media has taken that pill on steroids. What is true or not true does not matter to them. They are completely agenda driven well beyond any naive ideas about reporting the truth.
