She is smart so she can help Biden get through the campaign.
She could, of course, end up being president if Biden falters.

So it wasn't Michelle or Hillary, eh?  Just as well.  Couldn't see either of them playing second fiddle.  And no, I don't believe Biden will be pushed aside or step aside.  His wife won't let it happen.

Harris is a great pick.  Literally no one likes her.  I do not think she polls well with her own demographic either.  She brings no additional Electoral College delegates either, for CA is usually in the bag for the Dems.

She was one of the first politicians to embrace the Jussie Smolett nonsense, a story that would look odd to anyone above the age of six.  And Donna Brazile just said, "she really is a fantastic person."  With her endorsement, how can they lose?

Suppose something happens to Biden in the next couple months.  I do not think the Dems would move Harris into the top position just because Biden picked her as his running mate.  I think the DNC would vote and decide who that would be, and I doubt it would be Harris.

But this is all good, for I think she takes votes away from the Dems and helps Trump get re-elected.  She brings nothing other than a historic selection for a national election.  Nothing!!!

Kamala Harris adds nothing to the ticket.  Her primary run was distinctive only in that she showed practically no ability to inspire anyone to vote for her.  Her politics are California left, which is to say way outside the mainstream of the country.  With Biden's obvious dementia, she would almost certainly become POTUS at some point if he wins, and probably sooner rather than later.  That should be enough to scare the bejeezes out of quite a few swing voters.

I think Gutfield is absolutely correct -- the DEM ticket isn't set yet.  Biden was merely put into place as a duck and cover as to what Trump was uncovering over in the Ukraine and they also need his ties with the Chinese.
