The whistleblower alleges China’s coronavirus case count is “unreliable” and that the Chinese government demanded death certificates be “rewritten so that the number of deaths due to the new Corona seems to be smaller.”

Specifically, “instructions [that] were from the local disease prevention and control department” compelled doctors to cite other diseases such as diabetes or high blood pressure, instead of coronavirus, as the cause of death.

Therefore, the doctor states that “it is better to add another 0” to China’s coronavirus death toll, which at the time, had been reported at 3,869.

The current total deaths for China on Worldometers is 4,634, which is grossly absurd. I think merely multiplying that total by 10 would still be way low. 150K-500K seems more likely to me. Russia's and Iran's totals are similarly absurd. Both China and Russia have made moves with their vaccine testing processes that to me suggest something close to panic: China moved their most advanced vaccine from Phase II testing (typically several hundred subjects) to vaccinating the whole PLA; Russia is claiming their vaccine that started Phase I testing in June (typically less than 100 subjects) will be ready for approved use in October. By way of contrast, AstraZeneca started Phase III testing in May and approval looks likely in October or November.

That would not surprise me. Though China went total stay-in-your-house-except-for-designated-purchaser-of-necessaries for something like 6 or 8 weeks. I guess that stop the spread, but it also halted the natural process of the population accumulating immunity. Which may be making recent outbreaks worse than they might have been.
