As commander of the Army Reserve, Lt. Gen. Jody Daniels will lead the community-based force of more than 200,000 soldiers and civilian employees who make up 20% of the total force and are spread across 50 states, five territories, and more than 30 countries.
Moments after being promoted, Lt. Gen. Jody Daniels made an oath Tuesday to defend the Constitution as the Army Reserve’s first woman to lead the command in its 112-year history.
The Senate confirmed Daniels on July 20 for her promotion to lieutenant general and her next assignment.
With more than 36 years of regular Army and Reserve experience, she most recently served as commander for the 88th Readiness Division headquartered at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, and Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
