Trump threatens to deploy National Guard to quell Portland protests
Leo Shane III

President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to deploy National Guard troops to Portland, Ore., if protests there don’t stop in the next few days, saying the violence has lasted for too long.

“These protesters, many should be arrested because these are professional agitators, these are professional anarchists,” Trump said during a White House press conference. “These are people that hate our country. We are telling them right now that we are coming in very soon.

“The National Guard. A lot of very tough people. These are not people that just have to guard the courthouse and save it. These are people who are allowed to go forward and do what they have to do.”

He can't do it unless he has evidence to present that they are violating the Constitutional Rights of citizens with the backing of local and/or state government.

Besides that,he SHOULDN'T try to save them from themselves. They wanted it,they created it,so let them stew in it.

There is nothing you can do to discourage such conduct in the future that would be more effective than letting it run it's course today so everyone can see the results of where anarchy truly leads.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
