Even the residents that want to stay will be forced to move when they can no longer afford to pay  the taxes.

Worse of all for them, because of the tax rates and the crime they won't be able to sell their homes,so they will just have to abandon them and start all over again if they can afford a downpayment where they move.

If not, they are going to have to rent.

Which is ok,because they can take heart in knowing that several homeless drug-addicted  families are now living in their old house instead of in tents.

Ain't what passes for liberalism just SPIFFY KEEN?

Well,it is actually anarchy, but the mistaken title won't last long because it will soon become obvious to everyone that anarchy rules.

@Smokin Joe

Nope. Those people are NEVER going to be happy about anything. If you were to give them everything they want, they would be pissed off because they have nothing  to complain about.

It's just their nature.

Or whine that it wasn't all in ones; or whatever other combination was other than what they received.

The irony is, whoever did that sign probably has no idea who his dad is.

Let's not forget that not all "dads" are created equal.

For all we know, that was sprayed on the dumpster by a teenage girl,or maybe even boy, that was raped by their father.

Portland bleeds population amid massive crime surge
"It’s like Portland died.”
by Sara Higdon

Portland, Oregon has suffered massive population loss since 2020. According to Census data, the city lost the sixth-most number of people of any city in the US last year, losing 8,308 people from July 1, 2021, to July 1, 2022.

The decline comes after the city saw 15 straight years of growth before the Covid-19 pandemic and amid a massive crime wave since the city became the epicenter of the 2020 Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots. In the summer of 2020, Portland saw over 100 days of consecutive rioting. ...

A State of the Economy report by Portland Business Alliance stated, "If trends continue, the economic outlook, especially for the City of Portland, is as concerning as any time since the twin recessions of the 1980s." It continued, "Newly released census data suggests the region can no longer take net in-migration for granted—as it has for most of its history."

"People and businesses vote with their feet, and they are not voting for Portland, the city or the region, in the way they have in the recent past. The persistence of that trend could lead to a stagnant and underproductive economic future for our region," the report concluded.  ...

No connection between cases of six women found dead in recent months, most in secluded, wooded areas, police say
Updated: Jun. 04, 2023, 7:09 p.m.|Published: Jun. 04, 2023, 5:22 p.m.
By Gosia Wozniacka | The Oregonian/OregonLive

The Portland Police Bureau says there’s no connection between the cases of the six women who were found dead within 100 miles of each other -- all but one in the Portland area -- over the past three months.

The cases of the women, all under the age of 40, are being investigated by the Portland Police Bureau and sheriff’s offices in Multnomah, Polk, Clark and Clackamas counties.

The police bureau said rumors have been flying on social media, stoking anxiety in the community about how the cases may be related. ...

Authorities found the bodies of the six women between February 19 and May 7, 2023 -- most in wooded or secluded rural areas.  ...

Six young women are found dead in the same area and the police say people shouldn't be alarmed because there's no evidence the deaths are related? Sirs--that means THERE ARE 6 DIFFERENT PEOPLE OUT THERE KILLING YOUNG WOMEN! How is that less alarming?

Would you be willing to fight and die for multiculturalism?  Would you put your life on the line for “Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity” (DIE); “Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance” (ESG); or other Marxist worldviews?  Would you go to war to preserve the right of delusional men to use women’s restrooms and dominate women’s sports?  Would you fight for any government that hunts down and imprisons J6 protesters as political hostages but celebrates Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters who cause physical injury and property damage?

By Noelle Crombie | The Oregonian/OregonLive

At least three of the six women whose bodies have been found in Oregon and Washington in recent months shared similar circumstances and had frequented the same places in the months before their deaths, according to a source close to the investigations.

In particular, investigators are examining potential connections among JoAnna Speaks, 32, Charity Lynn Perry, 24, and Bridget Leann Ramsey Webster, 31, who all had been known to frequent Southeast 82nd Avenue and an area near the Clackamas Town Center, said the source, who is not authorized to speak on behalf of any of the half-dozen police agencies investigating the cases. ...

All died within about three weeks of each other in April.  ...

Ashley Real was known to frequent Gateway TC (as was Smith) and went missing around SE 122nd Ave. The unidentified woman was found in a tent in a homeless camp off of I-205, less than a mile from SE 82nd. We have heard from multiple sources that many of them used the same shelter in Clackamas County.
