The nation’s capital was hard to recognize on Inauguration Day this year. In response to the Capitol Hill siege on Jan. 6, thousands of police and National Guard troops were sent on the streets of Washington, DC, where they manned checkpoints and set up barriers.

The predicted right-wing violence by Trump supporters never materialized. Joe Biden’s inauguration went off without a hitch. But in the Pacific Northwest, Antifa had other plans.

In Portland, Black Lives Matter-Antifa made good on their pre-announced “J20” (January 20) riot. Around 150 Antifa dressed in black shut down traffic as they marched unimpeded to the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Oregon. They held a large banner showing a Kalashnikov and the text, “WE DON’T WANT BIDEN—WE WANT REVENGE!” ...

The planned political violence in Seattle and Portland on Wednesday should have generated front-page headlines. The state headquarters of a governing political party was severely vandalized in broad daylight — the second attack on a Democrat Party building in Portland since November. But because the attackers espoused the right politics from the left, they are conveniently ignored by mainstream media and politicians.

Some believe Antifa would fade away after Biden’s electoral win. They’re wrong. With the convenient excuse of resisting “Donald Trump’s fascist regime” no longer applicable, Antifa are just getting started.

As far as I'm concerned, antifa can burn Portland and Seattle to the ground. I'm in the suburbs east of Seattle, and if they come here they'll get a not-so-nice suprise. But my son doesn't live downtown anymore, so those left-wing fockers that voted for this crap can get what they deserve.

I wish. But you know as well as I that they love to move to a new location and screw things up there too. In fact, the problems in Seattle and Portland are in large part due to long term migration of people from the Land of Fruits and Nuts (California).

Wasn't it a Boston Pol named Tim O'Neil that coined the expression,"All politics is local!"?

That is where political power begins,and ends. It is also the ONLY place the typical American has any chance at all of being heard or being effective.

And we had better start working locally HARD,because you can believe now that the left has seized total control of the top and the middle,they will be looking to change the laws to reduce the power of local politicians and local laws.

We either start working hard locally,or we arm up and prepare ourselves to fight a war the left WANTS us to start so they can blame Martial Law on US,and have have the feral government look to be as pure as the driven snow.

Work HARD on locals running for local office,as well as locals running for state office.

It might not be sexy or glamorous,but local level politics IS where the rubber meets the road.

Let's get real about this,and name their parents and the cities they live in. You want to stop this,start embarrassing mom and dad,and maybe harming their business contracts.

And YES,the parents ARE responsible for the actions of their alleged adult children. After all,they finance them and bail them out when necessary.

I can see a serious case made for arresting them on interstate criminal conspiracy charges.

After months and months and months of doing virtually nothing to stop left-wing extremists — or insurrections, if you will — as they rioted in Portland and Seattle, the left has suddenly decided that NOW is the time to enact tough justice.

And so when the Biden administration deployed federal agents to use tear gas against the extremists as they rioted in Portland on Inauguration Day, nobody batted an eye.

Nor did anyone on the left, from congressional Democrats to mainstream media figures, cry foul when officers with the Federal Protective Service rushed in Saturday evening to protect the city’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement center.

Malia Lynne Trammell, 29, of Portland, was a high school teacher who has been indicted on one count each of felony riot, felony identity theft, second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with a peace officer and third-degree escape.

Trammell was an occasional substitute science teacher and assistant volleyball coach at Gladstone High School in Gladstone, Ore.

According to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, Trammel was part of a group of rioters who used caltrops, or metal spike devices, to puncture a Portland Police vehicle’s tire during a riot outside a police station in southeast Portland on Aug. 6, 2020. ...

The report identified Cary R. Cadonau, an attorney, as the person who was pepper-sprayed by the mayor. McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House’s general manager Scott Mitchell told police that Cadonau came into the restaurant Monday and asked for surveillance video of the incident as well as a copy of the ticket from the mayor’s order. Staff at McMenamins said Cadonau was a somewhat regular customer.  ...

    According to the police report, the mayor had been leaving McMenamins Hillsdale Brewery & Public House in Southwest Portland with former Mayor Sam Adams around 8 p.m. Sunday when a person confronted him and accused him of sitting in a restaurant without wearing a mask, according to the report. Wheeler and Adams had been dining in an outdoor tent at the restaurant just prior to the encounter.

    The man, who the mayor described in the report as middle-aged and white, followed Wheeler to his car while videotaping the interaction. The mayor said he warned the man he was carrying pepper spray and told the man to “back off,” but the man refused.
