Harris seen as Biden VP favorite as clock ticks

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) is seen as the favorite as Joe Biden nears a decision on his vice presidential pick.

Harris would be the first Black woman and Indian American woman to be nominated on a major party’s presidential ticket, and she battled with Biden memorably on the debate stage more than a year ago.

Harris wouldn’t put a new state in play. She represents California, the largest electoral prize on the map but one that is completely safe for Democrats.


Yet many see her as the least risky pick for Biden, who is under pressure to select a woman of color as his veep, and someone who would be prepared to be president on day one.

I guess they had to call her black (no capitalization needed), since she isn't African-American. But at least she has color!!  *****rollingeyes*****

I don't believe it.  Her time as a prosecutor makes her anathema to anyone left or right who objects to police overreach (whether repackaged as "racism" by the left or as a threat to life, liberty and property as seen from the right), meaning besides having no favorite daughter effect, she'd decrease enthusiasm for the 'Rat ticket on the left.  I could see the BLM types favoring four more years of Trump during which to do mischief and push their radical agenda, hoping to elect a hard-core leftist in 2024, rather than back a Biden-Harris ticket that could leave Harris the presumptive nominee in 2024 (either because Biden dies in office -- there is the divisible by 20 curse on the Presidency and he's very old and manifestly senile -- or steps down after one term).

Karen Bass during the vetting process, urging Biden to pick her because “she’s a loyal No. 2. And that’s what Biden really wants.” Through an aide, Dodd declined to comment. Advisers to Harris also declined to comment.  ...

While some of Harris' detractors say they’re still concerned about her record as California attorney general, others who interacted with her earlier in her career told the Biden team they're wary of how she would conduct herself as a No. 2.

Still, others have raised concerns about Harris’ presidential campaign itself, which launched with great promise before 22,000 people, but steadily lost ground. Harris dropped out a month before the Iowa caucuses.  ...

I don't think she passes the "natural born citizen" test, but then again, that doesn't apply anymore -- at least not to democrat-communist candidates.

Better bring in John Kasich for the final choice.

Side not:

I often mention Scott Adams. He correctly predicted Trump would win, well before the election. In 2015.

And he predicted Harris would win this time, too. Since Biden has been nominated, is hiden, he's revised his prediction to have Harris selected as VP, then take over when Biden drops out before or after the election.

FWIW Harris was a lousy performer during the Primaries.

They have probably put her through improvement programs; speech, dress, gestures, etc.

Think long term here .... I'm going with Susan Rice --- and if the fraud works and Biden "wins" ....when he resigns for health reasons, Valerie Jarrett for the VP.

If the person in question is a Rat, then she's eligible.  Speaking of rats, Yasser Arafat would have been eligible, if he had been a Democrat.
