Bette Midler Declares ‘Donald Trump Is a Murderer’

Director Rob Reiner says President Donald Trump “is Murder Americans.” Pop icon Cher says the president “kills Americans without thought.” You can add leftist actress Bette Midler to the growing list of leftist Hollywood luminaries calling the president a cold blooded killer.

” #DonaldJTrump is a murderer. Stupid, callous uncaring; all in all the biggest catastrophe to ever befall our poor nation. I can’t stop crying,” Bette Midler said on Twitter over the weekend.

Midler’s screed links to a 4,600-word, five-person byline New York Times hit piece titled “Inside Trump’s Failure: The Rush to Abandon Leadership Role on the Virus.” The nearly 5,000-word Times article mentions New York Governor Andrew Cuomo once and New Jersey once, even though those two states’ roughly 47,000 COVID-19 deaths account for about  a third of the 142,000 coronavirus deaths in the United States.

I've been having weekly go-rounders on ______ with a Prog friend. The friend is so resistant to facts that the friend repeatedly "laughed" at links to my timelines (linked in my signature). Between the friend's various comments over a few weeks and the friend trying the "those are your facts" line, I knew the friend had not even clicked my links and thus had no idea what was there. Finally, a few days ago I called out that obvious fact and, let's just say the friend was less dismissive. For now.

The point is, many Progs and other types of Trump-Haters are highly resistant to facts and will dodge, bob, and weave to avoid them. Many aren't worth the time to respond to their evasions, because facts really do not matter to them.

I've had the same problems with some lib friends. After one friend claimed "the rich pay no taxes," I recited the numbers showing the top one percent paid 40% of all fed. income taxes, the top ten percent 60%, and down the line.
He looked at me and said "I don't believe that."
Because he didn't want to believe...he wanted to believe lib lies.
