Biden Warns of Russian Election Meddling After Receiving Intelligence Briefings

DETROIT, MICHIGAN - Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said Friday he is now getting intelligence briefings and has been told Russia continues to try to meddle in November's U.S. election.

China also was conducting activities "designed for us to lose confidence in the outcome" of the 2020 election, Biden told supporters during an online fundraiser for his campaign.

"We know from before, and I guarantee you that I know now, because now I get briefings again. The Russians are still engaged in trying to delegitimize our electoral process. Fact," Biden said.

He warned that if Russia continued to interfere there would be "a real price to pay" if he wins the November election against Republican President Donald Trump.

It is unclear when Biden began receiving the intelligence briefings, which are normal for major party presidential nominees. His campaign did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

In 2016, candidate Trump did not receive his first intelligence briefing until Aug 17.  It seems odd that Biden would already be receiving them when he is not yet the Democrat nominee for President.  And if he is, they should put an end to it immediately since Biden is showing a propensity for leaking their contents directly to the press.

My thoughts exactly.  If there is any truth to this why would Biden be receiving briefings?  He is now a civilian is he not?  He has no authority (or shouldn't) or reason to be briefed on anything.

What this means, very directly, is that Biden is using his own expansive connections into Russia and Russian controlled States begging them to help him. He has likely tapped the Clintons to activate their numerous Russian assets to help Biden.

Every single time some Democrat throws out a preposterous accusation just out of the blue with no shred of proof or verification, it is because they themselves are doing it. It is the "who farted?" strategy. The first one to ask, Who farted?, is always considered innocent.

With the knowledge that ANYTHING they reveal to him can (and just might) be used against Mr. Trump.

The same people who were abusing power and using official agencies to surveil the opposition candidate for one of their own. You know if the POTUS has had a hard time shutting down all the agency leaks in DC, that those who were champing at the bit to make sure Hillary's people knew all they found out made it so.

(Not to mention the Russians' paid for social media blitz against Roy Moore.)
