Mark Kelly Pushing More Background Checks, Gun Seizures in Arizona

Democrat Sen. challenger Mark Kelly is campaigning on background checks and gun seizures as he tries to unseat pro-Second Amendment Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ).

Kelly’s wife, Gabby Giffords, was shot by an attacker in Tucson on January 8, 2011. That attacker acquired his gun via a background check, yet Kelly is campaigning to expand the point-of-sale opportunities to conduct background checks, with his campaign website suggesting such checks “keep kids and communities safer.”

Again, his wife’s attacker passed a background check for his gun, as has nearly every mass shooter of recent memory.

Where is the safety background checks are supposed to deliver?

Cyber Liberty:
Not surprising.  That might explain a fake news story I saw that said McSally backs Red Flag laws.  She doesn't.  She might not even be a factor, because I've seen polls that say she's losing to a more conservative challenger, Daniel McCarthy.

Smokin Joe:
No mention that connections (the shooter's mom worked with the sheriff's office) helped put and keep the guns in the hands of a troubled individual, nor the Feederal Judge he killed in that same incident.

If gun control was effective, Chicago and New York wouldn't be shooting galleries, and Southeast D.C. would be Paradise. 

Crime is created by bad people and bad behavior, the prevalence of which creates a market for weapons (usually of the stolen variety) because good people who behave lawfully don't use them to shoot and kill innocent people.

But Democrats don't give a damn about facts or logic or history because all they care about is creating chaos for the purpose of taking power.   

They'll call everyone a "racist", but somehow still allow young black gangs to roam freely in neighborhoods they wouldn't themselves ever visit, because the path to power for Democrats is paved with misery and death.

Gun sales soar 145% in June amid protests, coronavirus pandemic


More than 2.3 million guns were sold in June, a 145 percent increase from the prior year, with experts attributing the staggering number to unrest in the wake of George Floyd's, according to statistics released Wednesday.

An estimated 2,387,524 guns were sold in June 2020, data from Small Arms Analytics and Forecasting show. SAAF examines the raw data obtained from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS.
