The US cannot compete with China if our military doesn't invest in R&D

The Department of Defense (DOD) last month declared that 20 Chinese companies, including telecommunications firm Huawei and video surveillance company Hikvision, are a threat to U.S. national security because of their relationship with the Chinese military.
There just ain't no slippin NOTHING past those sleuths,is there?
Maybe they should ask Nancy Pelosi about this? After all,her husband's law firm are China's official legal representative in the US.
Not much conflict of interest THERE,is there? I am hoping Trump starts slapping her up side her head with that before long.
DOD emphasized that Chinese president Xi Jinping’s military-civilian fusion strategy of exploiting high-technology is the blueprint for “China’s global ‘return’ to military preeminence.â€
GAINING,maybe, but there is no "return to military preeminence". Due to centuries of being nothing but slaves to their masters, every bit of initiative and creativity has been bred out of them. EVERYTHING the Chinese military uses was designed and built in Russia, including their only aircraft carrier.
China is relentlessly harnessing artificial intelligence,
Of course they are. Artificial intelligence is better than no intelligence at all,and does not fear the firing squads.
neuroscience and quantum communication to support military research and development and ubiquitous spying on its citizens and adversaries.
Like the Soviets, who they copied their system from and then made it even more oppressive, they don't even have to spy on their citizens anymore. They have their citizens spying on each other, and informing on them for perks like better housing, the right to own a car, etc, etc, etc.
The Trump administration has taken steps to strengthen our defense against China, but the U.S. will not outcompete China without dominating this century’s revolution in technology.
Hard to do,when the Globalists that run the Republidim Party are busy selling the technology to the Chinese in order to get a slice of the pie delivered to their banks. They are even manufacturing replacement parts for new American cars and trucks now.
