China. They would buy it in a NY instant in order to get both a Naval base and a distributon port to store goods (?) made in China for east coast shipments.

The PR's wouldn't bother them. They would just ship the ones that didn't escape to NYC back to China to work as slave laborers,and replace them with PLA members.

Seriously. The Chinese would pay an insane amount for a port and naval/air base right off our eastern shore.

I thought China had both ends of the Panama Canal already.
