I reckon that "Liberty Valence" is my favorite John Wayne film.

And don't forget "Big Jim McClain" with Mr. Wayne playing a commie-fighter...

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I bet USC still exhibits O.J. Simpson's football history though while they dish on John Wayne.

May they never win another football game.

John Wayne's comments in his magazine interview took place about the same time Jimmy Carter was running his blatantly racist campaign for Georgia Governor.  Haven't heard anyone yet calling for the removal of Carter's statue in Atlanta.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

I have two books in my library that can teach great life lessons. One is Everything I Needed To Know I Learned From John Wayne. A good reference book on how to live. The other one is The Official John Wayne Handy Book For Men. It tells you how to do a lot of things like camping, hunting, driving, you know, what real men should know how to do. They are both great reads.

Aah, but the woke generation would simply tell you and John Wayne that you were both locked, as were so many of your generation, in masculine primacy.

So rather than manning up, you should simply lose your pair, like so many eunuchs of the woke generation have.

@Smokin Joe

Well,who ELSE can they get to hold it?

Other than each other,that is,and chances are they would even have to pay top dollar for a "handy" from each other.

John's family should ask for the material that made up the exhibit as no doubt
it was donated to them.

it was donated to them. If they decline, sue.

Yep. It's likely worth a small fortune to movie buffs.
